ZIP LINES
A trip to Blue Mountain Outdoor Adventure Centre would not be complete without a thrilling ride on one of our famous zip lines.
This is your chance to fly like Superman! Our 250 meter zip line, extending over a valley, is one of the longest in Canada. The
real adventure-seeker will enjoy our new 500-meter zip line, one of the longest in the world. |
Many people (yes - even those that are terrified of heights) find this exhilarating ride to be the experience of a lifetime.
We've accommodated all ages, from to 2 to 82, all with resounding success.
Safety is always a priority. Instruction is given to every rider. Each system has a double or triple backup, and everyone
is buckled into climbing harness equipment that is checked before the rider is hooked up to the zip line. |

NATURE HIKES
Did you know that the second highest point of land between Labrador and the Rocky Mountains is found in the hills at Blue
Mountain Outdoor Adventure Center? We've even put a tower on the top of this hill so that you can take full advantage of
the magnificent 360-degree view.
Blue Mountain Outdoor Adventure Center, covering over 2400 acres of land, is a haven for the nature enthusiast. In spring,
hills turn blue with crocuses. Every 2 weeks, different flowers and plants emerge to carpet the landscape.
Hike one of our many trails, where you can expect to see various wildlife, including Whitetail and Mule Deer, moose porcupines,
foxes, coyotes, rabbits and bush chickens. The resort is home to abundant birds including eagles, Blue Herons, Canada Geese,
Sparrow Hawks, Great Horned Owls, Loons, and Hummingbirds. Wild berries - Saskatoons, chokecherries, strawberries, raspberries,
and wild hazel nuts - also populate the area.
Let our knowledgeable staff take you on an interpretive hike. Discover various plant life, see animal tracks, and learn about
the history and geography of the area. Walk beside and on top of a working beaver dam, and visit marsh land. Climb to the top of
our hills and view 30 kilometers in every direction.
Blue Mountain Outdoor Adventure Center is the perfect place for picnics. Pack a lunch and climb to one of the highest points
in the province. From our 10 meter tower, you can take in spectacular views over 60 kilometers in all directions. |
 PRIVATE LAKE
Our private lake, located on site, is made of hard walking sand and is shallow enough to be ideal for small children to play in,
yet deep enough for a barge and diving board. The lake is well protected, and an ideal spot to learn to canoe or kayak.
It is recommended that all people have basic swimming skills. Lifejackets (provided by Blue Mountain Outdoor Adventure Center)
must be worn at all times. |
MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS
Nothing challenges the skills of a mountain biker like the Blue Mountain trails. Bring your mountain bikes, and enjoy riding 20
kilometers of groomed trails in the hills, or take a more leisurely ride along our scenic back-country trails. Bike routes are also
being developed outside of the resort area for those people who want to explore the many attractions of the surrounding area.
We provide group cycle tours that will be sure to make your Blue Mountain experience memorable. Enjoy our many area sights
including beautiful rolling hills, winding country roads, game farms, and pioneer villages and settlements. |
BACKPACKING
Are you planning a day hike in the mountains? Let Blue Mountain Outdoor Adventure Center help you prepare. Learn about proper
equipment, hiking boots, planning menus, and safety in bear country, to name a few. Your program could also include backpacking
excursions at the resort. |
SUMMER SURVIVAL SKILLS
Learn how to survive in the wilderness with the help of our experienced staff. We will teach you how to build a shelter,
find water, and make a fire, all from scratch. |
Something for everyone...
At Blue Mountain Outdoor Adventure Center, we strive to make your stay as memorable as possible. If high adventure and day-long activity isn't your thing, you can always take a lower-key approach to your stay and enjoy some of our other facilities, including
- Ball diamond

- Fully-equipped children's playground
